Outside Play

We don't usually make it in the door when we first get home.  The boys are antsy to play outside.  We set up the blanket for Bennett who does not like the feel of crawling on grass yet.  Sometimes they eat a snack right away and then play, but regardless they do not want to go inside.

Snack time for the Wagers boys
Bennett mowing.  He'll be up in no time pushing this thing around.
We're still working on our soccer skills.  Currently, Trenton likes to flip the net over on him and pretend he's trapped in spiderman's web.

Movin' On Up

Bennett graduated to a bigger carseat this weekend, so Trenton got a brand new carseat with a cupholder.  He now tells Granna and me that he needs a cupholder in our cars (new carseat is in Kev's car.)  You see, we thought we were smart by just buying one carseat at a time to test out the style and spread out the cost.  However, we might be getting the 2nd (and 3rd) sooner than we think.  Haha!
Yup, I'd say Bennett likes it!
And there's Trenton's drink in his cupholder in the background.  :)

Raisin' Boys

Only a boy would go splash in puddles before church!  Gotta love 'em!

Slide

Both boys love the slide.....for numerous reasons.  Trenton enjoys taking Bennett down it with him.  He's such an awesome big brother!  Bennett smiles the biggest smile ever loving every moment of the downward thrill.  Bennett has also grasped the concept of climbing up the slide.  Barefooted (and kneed) this 10 month old is able to completely climb up this slide.  He's obviously learned from Trenton.  I remember trying to make sure Trenton only went down it when he was little but those days are over.  Poor Bennett's texture sensitivity prohibits him from enjoying the rubber chips under the playscape.  The only smooth place for him to play is the slide.  I'm defeated.  He needs to play.
Can you tell this was after one of our bike rides to the neighborhood play ground?

We've Graduated to the Bike!

Trenton was not that interested in his bike when he got it for his 3rd birthday.  He would rather ride his scooter.  Times have changed.  He now loves his bike!  Thanks to GiGi coming into town for a few days, he started riding it ever day around driveway, then through the neighborhood.  We are thankful for our flat roads and sidewalks throughout.  He's quite good and now has the confidence and strength to do it.  We often take rides together in the afternoons with Bennett on the trike (getting pushed by us compliments of the handle!) and Trenton on his big boy bike.  He loves circling the park, riding to the playground, and the thrill of his strength, which he claims is because he eats green beans, corn on the cob, and carrots.  :)

Birthday Party

Tee time is in a moment for our friend Maddox who turns 5.  This gets me excited for Bennett's 1st birthday par-tee which is also the golf theme.
Madeleine was the sweetest thing ever to Bennett!
And this is the way Caleb and Bennett play golf!

Dogwood Festival

We took the boys to the Dogwood Festival and met up with our good friends The Vasells.
 Can you tell he's teething?
The disc dogs were cool to watch, but Trenton was only intested for maybe 5 seconds before the bounce houses caught his attention.

Will and Trenton played soccer while we stood in the ticket line.
We found the perfect spot on the hill to feed the babies.  The brothers later joined us for their snacks.
The festival was definitely good this year with the nice weather.

Fishing With Opa

Trenton reeled a few casts at Roswell Park with Opa.  On Opa's last cast, he pulled in a trout.  Trenton didn't quite know what to think of the fish.   As he stared unsurely at the floppy friend he said, "We have to cook it."  We played after fishing at playgound which I think was more up a 3 year old's alley.

Hi

I am not a phone talker, nor is Kevin.  However, Bennett sure has a good grasp on how a phone works.  He pulls it to his ear (actually over his ear) and recites repetively, "Hi, hi, hi, hi."  It might just be the most adorable thing I've ever seen!  Today, he actually grabbed one of Trenton's matchbox cars, Lightning McQueen, that says phrases from the Cars movie, and held it to his ear thinking the voice meant it was a phone.  Anything that might resemble a phone....baby monitor, remote, etc gets pulled behind his ear now for a conversation of hi.  I love this little guy!

Sleepy Heads!

When Daddy is in charge of bedtime, this is how I usually find them.  Sound asleep together.  So cute!

Showers

Trenton loves showers and Bennett loves watching Trenton take a shower.  I think Trenton is way more entertaining in there than us.  He would play forever if we let him.  :)

Undercover

How come babies like to be under stuff so much?  Nevertheless, it was easy play while Daddy watched the final day of the Masters.

My Knight

I have been playing princess for quite some time now.  It is a daily thing.  This weekend my knight was in awe when we took him to the Renaissance Festival, and he saw all the other people dressed up.  People go all out at this thing!  It was adorable to see Trenton grin from ear to ear as people interacted with him as a knight.

He ran immediately up to a knight statue at a shop then straight to the slide.
 We walked around first.
Trenton geared up in his knight costume.  He suddenly has been doing this funny thing with his face when he puts the mask on.  It cracks us up!
Two dragons came across his path and you can bet he was all about slaying them!
He loved it, and the random people played right along.
Random crowds would stop to watch Trenton's show.
We then made our way to the joust.
 Trenton watched from Daddy's shoulders.
We came across more dragons.  Trenton ran up to them dying to have his picture taken.  He thought they looked hilarious.
We went into one of the carving shops and got Trenton a new sword with a holster.  He loved the holster!
After eating a bite, he got to meet the royal family.
The king thanked him for being a brave knight and protecting the castle.  It started raining on us so we threw the boys under the stroller canopy and braved the sprinkles.  Luckily it was never heavy rain, but it was pretty consistent right up until we left.
A final picture of Mommy the Princess and Trenton the Knight before calling it a day!
