New Years Eve

We had just returned from being out of town for a week, so we decided to have a low key New Year's Eve at our house.  The boys and I bought balloons and each hour they got to pop one.  This was a good plan, with intentions of the boys probably making it until 9 or 10, with fun activities with each pop.  Well, being out of town for Christmas break and traveling time zones helped us because the boys somehow last until midnight!  Around 11:30, Granna and I texted, and I told her they were still up but we didn't have our noise makers and party hats out.  Who could let little kids welcome in the new year like that?  She and Opa came right over, showing up just before midnight with goodies to pump the boys up for the new celebration.  They probably didn't hit the sack until 1 am; however, they were also in the habits of sleeping in until 8/9.  Woohoo!
Balloons with special toys underneath....silly string, glow balloons, sparklers, colors for baths.  Boys ready for shooting silly string!
They liked to wear the ear muffs from the airshows were have been to for the loud pop.  Granna arriving with the tub for NYE.
Watch the ball drop.  Happy New Year!
Heading outside to make some noise!
Bennett in awe of the fireworks in the distance.  Trenton loving the sparklers.

Extra Night in Indy

We enjoyed one more night in Indiana.  We met family in Brownsburg to eat.  Then, after dinner, we went back to Aunt Vicki's for dessert.
The boys taught Great Grandma how to play Zingo, and Trenton got a guitar lesson from Nathan.  Nathan is so talented with the guitar!

Indianapolis Children's Museum/Science Center

We had heard the Children's Museum in Indianapolis was amazing.  Everyone was right!  It's 4 stories and has so much to explore.  It's certainly more of a science museum with kids sections inside.  They boys had a blast there with their grandparents and cousins.
Arriving at the Indianapolis Children's Museum.
 The slide immediately inside.
Bennett and Trenton rode it together, then down came Daddy!
Trenton playing scuba diving and exploring the mysteries under the sea.
Bennett acting as an archaeologist.
Bennett put together the mummy puzzle.  He loves puzzles!
Both playing paleontologist and revealing fossils.
 Ride em, Bennett!
 Driving an Indy car.
 Digging with tools.
Painting with technology.  Trenton made the ladybug.
Bennett made the butterfly.  Experimenting with electricity.
Wondering through the dinosaur exhibits and dress up like some.
Aren't we scary?!!
 China town restaurant.
Bennett is the cook.  Trenton is the cashier.
Bennett is the server.  And Daddy is the diner.  Bon appetite.....or whatever that is in Chinese!

Indiana

The day after Christmas we drove up to Indiana to see Kevin's extended family.  We were thrilled that so many people from both Rick and Brenda's side were able to meet up.  It was nice catching up.
Bennett dressed for the indoor pool.  At the senior center, the kids rode their new ride ons.
Trenton had fun with Riley's new toy.
Jessie.......she is not a big fan of anyone else holding her so this was the best we could get.
Most the kids on the Rick's side.....the Dorsey 4 with Wagers.
Dancing with Great Grandma.  From the hokey pokey here to the line dancing later, Great Grandma had all of us out there shaking our thing.
Brenda's entire side made it!  Thanks those who drove and flew in for the occasion.
Acting silly with our immediate crew.
Trenton loved Nathan taking him around on the skateboard.  Bennett was right out there.....
 Just in his own way.
Acting out Christmas carols that Great Grandma had written up.  She was so clever!
We loved seeing Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Al!  You know you are at the senior center with signs like these!  :)  Love it!
