Ho, Ho, Ho....Santa is Here!

Friday finally arrived, and it was time for the annual Santa Party at the Powell Family's house.  This is the most anticipated event of the season, and Mrs. Kinsey always goes above and beyond for the event.  The kids and adults have the best time.  Thank you so much for inviting us every year!

Well, we have two extreme opposite kids when it comes to Santa Claus.  See for yourself.
Trenton spotted Santa down the hall.  He ran to greet him.  He does this every year and he's never once been afraid of him.
Reading Twas the Night Before Christmas
Gathering around to hear who's been naughty and nice this year.  Santa has it all in his book.
 Silly boy!
Bennett listening to the story in Daddy's lap.
Bennett clinging to Momma.  He definitely wasn't so sure of Santa.
Who is this man?  I'm going to go hide!
The good ol' red noses came out again this year.  The kids were cute in them!
Bennett used his as a ball.  Maybe this guy isn't so bad.  Balls, trucks or hats are the way to his heart.
Rudolph and Bennett with Granna and Opa.
We were glad Granna and Opa could come to the party with us.
Trenton has always loved Santa and has never been afraid of the jolly ol' man.
Bennett however.....well, my prediction was right.  We have a crier.  From this point on, he clearly shook his head no to the sound of the word Santa.
Mommy and Daddy got in the picture to ease Bennett's anxiety.
See Bennett.  It's not so bad.
Let's try again.....Quick snap before Bennett leaps from his lap.
Everyone received a special Christmas puppy from Santa and then their own unique present that they had asked him for.
There was no way Bennett was getting close to the man in the red suit to get his present.
Special Delivery!  Trenton brought Bennett his present.
Trenton was beyond thrilled to receive Batman and the Batmobile from Santa Claus.
Trenton helped Bennett unwrap his present.  A rocket!!!!
Bennett enjoyed playing blast off with his toy!

Giddy Up!

Bennett loves riding his stick pony.  He likes for his ear to be pushed so you hear the galloping noise.  He could do this forever outside.  More, more, more.....his favorite words!

Holiday Happenings

December is always a fun month as you get in the Christmas spirit.  Here's some of our holiday fun.
 Reading Elf on the Shelf
 Finding Chippey each morning.
Decorating the tree.  Lots of low plastic balls.  :)  The kids go then we finish the rest.  It's always exciting going through our ornaments.  We traditionally get ornaments at the places we go.  It's sweet to remember all our trips and events from over the years.
The advent calendar has been a huge hit in the recent years.  Attack of the chocolate!
Trenton claims he is Chippey.  He likes to play it as a game.  He tells you to go to sleep and come find him.  He's sitting somewhere around the house with his mischievous grin.  His favorite place is on top of the playhouse.
Kevin did a great job with the outside lights!  In addition to the front beds, our back railing is wrapped.  It looks nice through the woods.
This is how the playroom looks at night.  It's a beautiful, peaceful place.  Well, some of the time....
This is how it looks during the day.
Riding the infamous Pink Pig at Lenox Mall.
Twice!  Bennett was definitely hesitant at first but he kept asking for more after each ride.  He became comfortable real fast!
Trenton liked all the displays.  Bennett just really liked that it was a ride.
He wouldn't even let me put my arm around him.  He had to feel like a big boy riding all on his own.  What?  My baby boy is only 1 1/2!
These boys are sticker fanatics!  They had them all over!

Christmas Tree Shopping

What a hoot Christmas tree shopping was this year!  Trenton played hide and seek amongst the trees, and Bennett gripped for dear life at the sound of the chainsaw.  The good news was, we successfully managed to escape with no injuries or crying spells.  The worst part was the line to get the tree tied to the top of the jeep.  Regardless, it was a fun family event!
Trenton popping his head around a tree.  Bennett pointing when he spies Trenton between the evergreens.
Trenton was fascinated with the fake snow sprayed on some of the trees.  I believe I found a little surprise of white flakes in his pocket when I did laundry that night!.
Two brothers in the bath.  They're my sweet, sweet boys!  Love them!
