Little Siders

Morning mowing before our company comes over for playing tonight.
Bennett is earning the nickname "Boots"....if you notice, he's wearing them a lot lately.
I love them going opposite each other.
Toys.....whatever is in the garage, kids will pull out and play with.  Lauren pulls Trenton on the sled. Haha!
The power wheels, t ball set and stomp rocket for the biggest hits......with kids and grown ups!
 Little Siders!
Balloon rockets in the cult de sac.

It was a beautiful evening to be outside!  Kevin smoked an awesome Boston Butt and we enjoyed chatting while the kiddos ran around playing.
Bennett and Liam and the little, little kids table.  They are only two weeks apart.

Pizza Friday

We welcomed the weekend with our good friends the Spivas.  Our boys are similar in age and we may have started a Friday tradition now that the weather is nice.  Pizza and play!!  It's a Friday tradition!
The oldest of the gang, Hudson, hooked up the power wheel to the wagon to give the youngsters a ride.
He used a tennis racket.  Gotta love it!
 The boys loved it!
Trenton had to do it with Bennett after the Spivas headed home.
Bennett was so excited that the fun could continue.
Love the creative fun!

Races

Trenton and Bennett enjoy playing with the boys in our cult de sac, even if they are a good bit older.  They will get out there and ride around on their toys to hang with the big boys.  Trenton went for his power wheel and Bennett the plasma car.  The other boys do their version of the "skelton" (as we call it!) because they lay belly down on skate boards.  We are glad to have neighbors with kids!
Ready, set, go!  The boys ride down the hill.  Trenton gets a kick out of beating everyone.  I try to explain he's on an automatic vehicles but he doesn't really care.

Corsicana Family Visits

We sure enjoyed our time with Uncle Les and Aunt Karen.  Thank you so much for making the trip to Georgia!
Trenton gives Uncle Les a lesson with the ninja turtle nunchucks.
Wishing Aunt Karen a happy, happy birthday!
Opa and Uncle Les feed the parakeets.
 Trenton joins in the feeding.
Aunt Karen and Bennett brush the goats together in the petting zoo.
What a wonderful day for the zoo!

Soccer

Spring is almost here and soccer just started.  Trenton is again playing FUSE sports at our church.  We really like the atmosphere it provides as sports are first introduced to kids.  Our very own daddy is coaching the team.  Woot!  Woot!  Trenton is beside himself because he wanted that so badly and was even more excited to learn his team was blue, his favorite color.  He's been chanting "Go Lightning!" ever since he found out!  We spent last week buying shin guards, high socks and new soccer balls.  Trenton loved helping Coach Daddy pick out a whistle and prepare for his coaching role.  At this age, the first part of hour is practice with games and drills.  The second half is the game.  They played 4 on 4.  Although it was mostly mad chaos, the boys and girls really loved following Coach Kevin's instructions.  Their favorite was sleeping bear where Kevin appeared to be asleep and then "woke" and ran after them.  The players scurried dribbling the ball.  It was a riot!  Trenton actually surprised us with his dribbling skills.  By the end of day 1, he was doing a fabulous job controlling the ball while also maintaining his normal fast pace.  I think both the players and coach had fun!
 Coach daddy starting practice.
Trenton is super excited that 3 of his classmates (Jack P, Hudson, Anna) are on his team.
 Full speed ahead!
Doing soccer drills and taking a water break!  Awesome job T!
Karen and Les (Opa's brother from Texas) were there to watch Trenton's first game.  What a treat!  We loved the beautiful weather and hanging out together!
Bennett loved playing around on the field, too.  We're still working on no hands on the ball.  :)

Jack P

All we heard for weeks after Trenton started preschool was Jack P, Jack P!  Trenton had made a best friend.  That best friend had a birthday party this weekend.  We had a great time celebrating Jack turning 4 (and his little sister turning 1.)  It has been fun getting to know their family.  We really like them and are glad Trenton has such a good buddy.  He still talks about him all the time! :)
Jack and Amelia's circus birthday party
The balloon artist was a huge hit.  He made Trenton a Captain America.  I like the headless picture with T's face.  :)
Eating chicken tenders, animal crackers and popcorn with our buddies.
 Bouncing in the jump house.
Playing swords and hanging out with best friends.
Then, opening presents!  Trenton was certainly Jack's wing man at his party.

Home Depot Workshops

We attended Home Depot's children's workshop again this Sat.  They host them the first Sat. of every month and are free.  The projects are really cool.  Some require more adult help than others.  The 1st time Kevin took Trenton, it was a wooden tic tac toe board.  The 2nd time I made racecars with them, and this month it was a Trojan horse piggy bank.  The boys had fun hammering, screwing and placing stickers on it.  We have to admit, the coin drop was upside down on the horses.  Oops!  It was too late by the time we noticed!
Trenton concentrates as he screws together two pieces.  Daddy helps Bennett hammer the boards together.
Trenton and Bennett are proud of their masterpieces!  They wait in line patiently to receive their workshop certificate!
I love them holding hands.  Bennett will grab Trenton's whenever we tell him to.  They were sweet together leaving the workshop.  Then, we saw the popcorn machine!  We are all about a little fresh and ready popcorn!
