We had the best day celebrating one of our all-time favorite friends Allison's 30th birthday! She had flown in from New York and her parents threw a get together at their house. Pool, Mexican food, margaritas (Meredith style!), golf cart rides...........it doesn't get better than this! Her family was so sweet helping with Bennett and Trenton, and both boys took to them instantly. They may have raised girls, but they are naturals with boys!
It was so good to catch up with all the sorority girls! Although we mostly live in Atlanta, our get togethers are not as frequent as they used to be. We are all in different stages of life and busy with our day to day schedules, but one of the best parts is that we all have such special friendships with each other and are there through good times and bad. I love the fact that we do birthday dinners and make every effort to hang out when events arise or our out of towners (Allison and Melanie) come to town. We have gone on several girl trips together, and know there will be many more in the future, especially when the baby days are over. Love you all!
Jessica, Mary, Cheryl, John with Jack, me with Bennett, Grayson and Allison......Kevin was probably somewhere chasing Trenton around! :)Bennett poolside with Mr. Webb. Bennett stayed in this position for over an hour!
6 of the 8 college girls were able to make it to Allison's 30th. That is a pretty good turn out for our busy lives!
Jessica (Tobin as we call her since there are two Jessica's in the group) with her sweet little boy Jack who is 3 months old. Welcome to the Mommy crowd! Grayson.....you'll be here soon! January 9th will be here before you know it!
It was a nice afternoon for the pool.
The two mommies of the bunch with the newest boys Bennett and Jack. (Melanie wasn't here but she also has a new little man, Colson!) So funny that we all have boys! 5 boys and 0 girls for the group! What will yours be, Gray?! Can't wait for Aug. 14th to find out!
Trenton loved Allison....and her cake! He jumped at the chance to help her blow out her candles and went straight for a bite of that cookie cake! "Yes, sir!" he'd say to any of us. We are still working on the ma'am, so everyone, male or female, is a sir these days. :) It really is cute!
Mary is a natural! 4 nieces and nephews....she has probably seen it all! Bennett looks nice and comfy with her!
Mrs. Webb has held both our little ones when they were tiny little boys. She has the touch!
Trenton was so excited to go on the golf cart! He drove us for the first part of the ride before falling asleep at the wheel. Guess the relaxing evening air does that to a 2 year old!
So, he was passed over to Allison's lap for the duration of the ride. It was no surprise that he was exhausted. His nap that day was only the drive to Peachtree City, and an afternoon of swimming in the pool wears you out! Thanks for the pillow, Miss Allison!
It was so nice to have the extra hands anxious to hold Bennett....and change his diapers...and give him a bottle. Thanks, Meredith, for helping with our little man!
