Lesson Learned

We were due for an outing that turned sour, and it happened this day at the zoo.  Our first hour and a half, was wonderful and we had the best time venturing through the attractions.  We had the place almost to ourselves.  Then, a talk about wandering and strangers turned into a disaster when I threatened and attempted to strap him into the stroller.  (I equate this behavior to a lack of sleep from going to bed late last night.)  Needless to say, this is why you are thankful you have a membership.  You don't feel like you wasted your money by having to leave early.

The ironic thing was, I believe Trenton realized how bad his behavior was afterwards.   On the way home, you could tell he felt guilty and ashamed.  It is funny how things work out.  Leaving the zoo early probably taught him more of a lesson than I realized.  He asked that day before I put him down for his early nap if we could go back to the zoo tomorrow.  I told him someday soon and hugged him.
We had the panda exhibit all to ourselves and watched the pandas actively walk around their habitat while enjoying a snack.
He enjoyed standing like a flamingo on one leg.
