Halloween Night

The colors are absolutely beautiful from our house!  We love the changing leaves and falling leaves.  The big oak seems to fill our yard with these autumn wonders.  They're fun, but I'm sure we'll get annoyed with them eventually.  As for now, I'll just enjoy the magnificent view!
 The colors from our driveway.
Bennett exploring Halloween afternoon.  I think he was too excited!  We couldn't get him to take his afternoon nap.  Haha!
Bennett's latest obsession is the berries (balls to him) from monkey grass.  He'll play with them all day long.
Finally trick or treating time!  Turtle Power!
Trenton and Samantha (another 3 yr old we met in the neighborhood) won the costume contest.
Bennett made it to a whopping 3 houses.  We kind of started too late because of the Halloween party.
But, Trenton liked handing out candy just as much as trick or treating.

Pre-Halloween Treats

Meet the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles......
Trenton as Raphael                                                         Mommy as Donatello
 Bennett as Michaelangelo
Daddy as Leonardo

We had numerous Halloween activities the weekend prior to Halloween.  From Halloween birthday parties and Halloween parties to church gatherings for Tailgate Treats, we definitely got our use out of our Halloween costumes.  And, it's not even October 31st for these lean green fighting machines!  Here are more pictures from our pre-Halloween weekend.
With Masks
Without masks
Bennett loved the decorations!  I think they distracted him enough so he forgot about his hood.  It finally stayed up and boy did he look precious!
How do these thing not scare a 1 year old?  He was fascinated and kept going back to the different ones.
 Chocolate Bats
Chocolate eye balls
 Annemarie and me
John goes all out.....Can you tell?  It is the best party ever!
Annemarie, Bennett, Madeleine, me and Trenton with the spooky skeleton walking the dog.
 My two ninja turtles.
They had a blast with their weapons.  Then we needed to put them up for trunk or treating.
 Raph and Mikey team up.
Don't let the bad guys near!  You get that way, I'll get this way!

Trenton finally puts his Raphael masks on as we head to the tailgate.
Bennett gets sidetracked by the playground and tries to climb his way to it.
Trenton was a nice big brother, taking Bennett trunk or treating with him at our church.
Trenton would help put candy in Bennett's bucket.  Bennett liked to carry as many as he could in his hand.  He didn't know quite what to think about them in his basket but hand was ok.
Opa and Granna came to watch.
Bennett loved the 4 and under bounce house.  It was perfect for him!
He could jump around crazily and not worry about the older kids knocking him down.   Instead, he'd knock himself down.  :)
The furry, furry cow in the petting zoo section.
Bennett was fascinated with the animals.
 Trenton pets the rabbit.
Then, Bennett goes in the cage to pet the rabbit, too.
Trenton's bounce house was an obstacle kind.  He loves making his way through these.
 He throws himself over mountains.
 Then, laughs hysterically at himself.
He ran into one of his classmates, Bella, inside the bounce house.
Afterward, we headed over to our friends' house for chili and more play.
Mommy took the boys on a hayride around the church.
