I am thankful for our church. We certainly have found a church home that we are a part of. It wasn't long ago that we attended one of the large nondenominational churches in Atlanta. However, once we moved out to the burbs, we settled into Marietta First United Methodist Church. Within the year, we joined. The minister was down to earth and we were able to relate to his sermons. We felt at ease. Kevin and I got married there soon thereafter, and both our boys have been baptized by Dr. Sam. All those events pulled us closer to the church, but this past year with all the children's activities, I have especially felt blessed. The church reaches out. They welcome you and and community. They try to establish ways for children to be involved in Christian-based activities. We are grateful for these opportunities, and I admire their outreach tactics. We have met several wonderful families and pray our boys see that church has so much to offer. The foundations are being instilled in our children from the simple acts of giving through Operation Christmas Child to sportsmanship on the FUSE athletic fields. I look forward to becoming even further involved in the years to come!
