Curious About Presents

Bennett had a great time opening presents after a well-deserved nap following his birthday party.
 Bennett positioned and ready.
Staying seated didn't last long.  He was tearing into presents right and left and Trenton was adding to the chaos.  This is a tasking calling for reinforcements.  We need a note taker for thank you cards, photographer, helper, and trash collector.  Good thing Opa and Granna were there to help!
 Momma helping Bennett.
Trenton excited about Bennett's presents and ready to test them out!  (This was TMNT walkie talkies--who wouldn't be excited!)
Bennett (actually all of us!) loved building and watching the cars follow the track.  If they became off course, they were hard to catch (but certainly fun and exciting!!)
What a long, full of fun day!  Night, Night birthday boy!

Curious Bennett's 2nd Birthday

Bennett's birthday party is here and we're celebrating it Curious George style.  The boys absolutely loved this theme, and so did I!  I really love throwing the boys' their birthday parties!  It's fun to celebrate the occasion with their sweet, innocent souls.  They get excited about the little stuff.  Their smiles and laughs make it all worth the time, and I delight in their joy.  This year, I had a new helper by my side.  Trenton was my early riser this morning so helped me prepare the finishing touches.  It was something fun to do together because he was very excited for the party to finally be here.  He gets it and having patience until the actual day is slightly harder for him.  :)  All Bennett would say was, "gums, gums" when he saw the Curious George gummies out on the table but was a-ok waiting until the party for them.  Yellow and red were the colors and yard games were the activities.  It was a beautiful day and such a fabulous party to host for our family and friends.  Thank you everyone to took time out of their busy schedules to celebrate our baby boy turning 2.  You can never get back these precious moments, so we're beyond touched that you spent the morning with us!
Bennett is our little climber.  I also call him "monkey" then he laughs and recites, "monk" loving this nickname.
We set the food out on the dining room table.....bananas, strawberries, banana muffins, pigs n the blanket, gummies.
 Granna made delicious banana muffins.
Barb the Cake Lady did it once again with her fantastic cake.  It was delicious!
I loved the stickers I found from Birthday in a Box.  I used them for many things.
Entrance foyer.                                                     Man in the Yellow Hat tossing game.
Bennett's birthday banner.  Trenton loved helping me tape this.  He is obsessed with tape.  :)
The favor table.  Guest took Curious George books home with them from the party.
Guest could keep cool with a spray water bottle during the party (also a favor to take home.)
 The house as guests arrived.
Bennett on the trampoline and Trenton in the crawl tunnel.  (We took lots of our big, fun toys out of the basement and positioned them around the yard.)
Brady enjoying the ball and bounce house.                            Will having a snack.
Trenton sporting his angry birds hat from the balloon artists.  Benneet is all smiles inside the bounce house.
Will loves his sword.  Kellan can't figure out what he likes the best so he's sliding with his spray bottle and hat.
 Bennett and Jacob playing together.
Bubble wands kept many entertained at once.                    Rylan got a cool motorcycle hat.
The balloon artist doing this thing.  He was a perfect addition.  Kids would go to get a cool design in between playing.
Cake time!  The older boys, especially, gathered around.
Bennett was so serious during this.  He does not like being the center of attention in front of crowds.
Another cool balloon creation.                      Bennett jumping big with Brady.  He's showing him the way.
The boys show off their latest balloons.  Bennett with his monkey, Trenton with his macho man, Erich with his sword and laser gun.
Bennett took Curious George sliding.  It was adorable!  Daddy and the birthday boy.
Opa relaxing wtih Bennett and the macho man.
Playing a little after everyone had left the party......three deep on the slide.

Runs

Although I try to get my runs in before Kevin leaves for work, I have had to run pushing the boys on rare occasions.  Actually, we tie the run into something else going on that day.
I tell the boys to grab some toys, I pack snack and we run to Granna and Opa's house.  I leave them there to play and then get something done from my to-do list.
We go to Roswell Park and run the 5K loop.  The boys like circling the pond and then playing afterwards on the playground.  We saw this alligator snapping turtle this morning.  The remaining 1 1/2 miles all Bennett would say was turtle.  It was very exciting to him!

Curuious About Party Prep

As we gear up for Bennett's Curious George birthday party, the boys become even more curious about the decorations and items sitting on the dining room table.  Trenton wanted to become my little helper and Bennett would just recite, "Hap Bur-day, Hap Bur-day".....not sure if he realized it was for him yet or not.  :)
They would grab their Georges and then say, "We'll return them when they need to be decoration."

Zoo in May

Love our memberships!  We invited the Rutkowski Family to join us.  Off to the zoo and the first time at the water section inside it!
 Trenton and Bennett......two meerkats!
 Climbers checking out the rhino.
Carter and Trenton are buds!  They like running around together.  Bennett and William attempt to follow.
