Lilo and Stitch Luau Brunch

The theme parks were over, but not the excitement.  We had a character brunch at the Polynesian today.  The Polynesian is, perhaps, one of the nicest resorts at Disney, so it was great to squeeze in an event there.  After two full days, we slept in a little and didn't have to rush since our reservation was at 10:30.  By the way, if you go to the front desk, they're give you leis.
Trenton and Bennett as we arrive to the Polynesian and they receive their leis.

The 4 of us.
Now everyone together.
We head up to the restaurant.
It was a Lilo and Stitch Luau at the 'Ohana restaurant.
Of course, there were Mickey waffles!  It was family style and full of lots of yummy food and a delicious home-squeezed juice.
The best part was that there was no line waiting--the characters visited you!  We simply sat at our table and enjoyed the food while each character, one at a time, rotated table to table to see us.  I will never forget Bennett's enormous grin and squeals each time he spotted a new character across the room.  He could hardly wait for them to get to our table!  Mickey was first, you can see how he doesn't want to take his eyes of Mickey, and boy was he smiling ear to ear!
Seeing Bennett's excitement was my favorite with him, but watching Trenton interact and talk to the characters (who of course do not talk back!) was my favorite with him.  He asked Mickey if he knew the Hot Dog dance (you have to have watch Mickey's Clubhouse to know this song) and then both Trenton and Mickey danced it out.  Lilo is a surfer girl from the movie Lilo and Stitch--it's an older movie.  Boys love it, though.

We easily got our autograph frames signed.
Pluto was a new fun character to see!
Then came Stitch.  We were really excited to see him as well, even though we saw him yesterday at the Magic Kingdom.
Everyone with Stitch.
The kids got to partake in a musical parade with the characters.
Trenton stayed near Stitch while Bennett held close to Daddy.  He was Daddy's boy the whole trip.  I've never seen him like that.  He barely noticed I was there.  :(
Trenton was intrigued by the authentic leis an older woman was making at the resort.  We stopped to visit her for a bit.  Maybe next spring we'll make one ourselves.
