Chuck E. Cheese

Trenton saw a commercial about Chuck E. Cheese this morning, and asked if we could go.  I told him that would be a great idea since next week is spring break.  However, I learned tonight was Chuck E. Cheese night for our school's fundraiser.  So, I surprised Trenton by taking him this afternoon.  Both boys enjoyed the excitement there.
Trenton has never once thought twice about character mascots.  Instantly he runs to them and is all grins.  Bennett likes them, but definitely stands his distance and gives him a complete stare down.  Don't expect him to show much emotion at all with them.  It is so funny how they are extremely different in this aspect.
 Piloting the jet.
Shooting water at the target and riding the roller coaster.
 Trenton hammering the groundhogs.
Bennett riding the carousel and Trenton ready for the fierce wind inside the ticket blaster.

A New Definition of Silent Reading

I tend to cook dinner and let the boys play together in the playroom or basement.  Regardless of where they are, I can definitely hear them.  They are loud children having the time of their life in the simplest ways.  But when it gets quiet, I wander out to check on them.  This is what I found in the living room.  Trenton informed me they were reading.  I'm pretty confident, Bennett just copied what Trenton was doing.
It was hilarious!  Their Pottery Barn chairs were turned up identically and they were "reading".

Canyons

My new favorite finds are kids nights at restaurants.  Now that two boys are eating like champs, I try to take advantage of nearby deals.  Tonight it was Canyons.  Kids meals are $.99 on Mondays and Trenton is all about burgers, their expertise.
We had an extra special treat after eating on the patio....a balloon artist.  Trenton politely ordered a dog for his little brother and then asked for a ninja sword.

Little Siders

Morning mowing before our company comes over for playing tonight.
Bennett is earning the nickname "Boots"....if you notice, he's wearing them a lot lately.
I love them going opposite each other.
Toys.....whatever is in the garage, kids will pull out and play with.  Lauren pulls Trenton on the sled. Haha!
The power wheels, t ball set and stomp rocket for the biggest hits......with kids and grown ups!
 Little Siders!
Balloon rockets in the cult de sac.

It was a beautiful evening to be outside!  Kevin smoked an awesome Boston Butt and we enjoyed chatting while the kiddos ran around playing.
Bennett and Liam and the little, little kids table.  They are only two weeks apart.

Pizza Friday

We welcomed the weekend with our good friends the Spivas.  Our boys are similar in age and we may have started a Friday tradition now that the weather is nice.  Pizza and play!!  It's a Friday tradition!
The oldest of the gang, Hudson, hooked up the power wheel to the wagon to give the youngsters a ride.
He used a tennis racket.  Gotta love it!
 The boys loved it!
Trenton had to do it with Bennett after the Spivas headed home.
Bennett was so excited that the fun could continue.
Love the creative fun!

Races

Trenton and Bennett enjoy playing with the boys in our cult de sac, even if they are a good bit older.  They will get out there and ride around on their toys to hang with the big boys.  Trenton went for his power wheel and Bennett the plasma car.  The other boys do their version of the "skelton" (as we call it!) because they lay belly down on skate boards.  We are glad to have neighbors with kids!
Ready, set, go!  The boys ride down the hill.  Trenton gets a kick out of beating everyone.  I try to explain he's on an automatic vehicles but he doesn't really care.

Corsicana Family Visits

We sure enjoyed our time with Uncle Les and Aunt Karen.  Thank you so much for making the trip to Georgia!
Trenton gives Uncle Les a lesson with the ninja turtle nunchucks.
Wishing Aunt Karen a happy, happy birthday!
Opa and Uncle Les feed the parakeets.
 Trenton joins in the feeding.
Aunt Karen and Bennett brush the goats together in the petting zoo.
What a wonderful day for the zoo!
