Vampire Trenton

Most babies get their middle two bottom teeth, then their middle two top teeth. From there, the teeth start working their way back in the mouth. Trenton is hilarious! He got his bottom teeth two months ago, and his top ones have just surfaced....that is, his top two eye teeth. Last Wednesday, Trenton gave Mommy a big smile and she saw that his left eye tooth had popped through his gums. Interesting, right? Well, today it got even better! His right eye tooth came through. So now what do we have? A vampire! His playful bites are all making sense now! :)

Trenton smiles huge over the fact that he looks like a vampire!

Weekend Fun

Daddy had a guy's fishing trip and Trenton was in the middle of his second cold, so Mommy decided to spend the weekend with Granna and Opa. It was nice to have the helping hands since Trenton was back into waking up during the night all congested. It actually had dropped into the 80's (nice break from the 90 degree weather!) so Mommy and Opa took Trenton on a walk at Roswell Park. We also found Trenton his game day attire for college football.....gotta get ready for kick off next weekend! :)

On Sunday, we took Trenton to the nursery for the first time at church. We anticipated bringing Trenton last weekend, but that was the day he came down with his fever and cold so we had to postpone it. It was a little rough for the first time. Trenton was ready to nap before we even got there. The problem is, he is so engaged in what is going on around him that he can't sleep. When we picked him up, it was obvious the little guy had been crying. Poor thing! He fell instantly asleep on the drive home and we carried him to bed where he continued to nap for an hour and half. Hopefully the timing will be better in the future!

Trenton did learn a new trick to show Daddy when he got back. He smacks his lips all the time suddenly. Always something new!

Trenton loves Granna feeding him!

Playing on my palet.

I'm a pro in my exersaucer! I spin around in full force now!

Baths are the best with Granna!

I love relaxing on the swing and listening to the birdies.

Time for church! Poor Trenton was so happy at this point in the morning!

Saturday Mornings!

Good ol' Trenton is still an early riser. We typically bring him into bed with us on Saturday mornings and let him play with his toys. He loves playing on Mommy and Daddy's big bed. We only have a short time left of this before he's in full force and crawling.

Big Boy Car Seat

Long car rides to and from the lake and a tire baby haven't been working so well for us lately. We get on the road thinking it is the perfect opportunity for Trenton to fall asleep and nap for most of the drive. We soon find out that soothing himself to sleep is a little more difficult than we thought. So, we are experimenting with a new big boy car seat. So far, Trenton seems to like his Marathon but the real test will be on our next roadtrip.

It might be big, but little guy has no fear of his new car seat.

I like my new car seat so much, and I promise to be a happy boy everytime I am in the car! :)

Birthday Bashes

It was a busy weekend full of birthday fun! Trenton had two parties to go to for our Gardenside friends. Jack turned 3 and had a baseball party at Marietta Pizza. The theme was so cute with pin the baseball on the bat, the homemade jerseys, and a t-ball game. Lauren had a special 1st birthday get together at her house. It was great to catch up with our Siders friends and let the Little Siders play.

Crazy in the Jumperoo

Granna and Opa have yet another new toy for Trenton. Granna's good friend Janine always passes down baby toys that her grandchildren have outgrown. This time, it was a jumperoo! Trenton would bounce, bounce, bounce and bounce until he was exhausted and ready to get out. What great exercise for his little leggies! Thanks Janine for the many, many fun toys!!!

Watch me! This is fun!

You could barely see him over the bar, but he'll grow into it.

Such strong legs already!

Happy 7 Month Birthday!

Mommy is never quick enough with the pictures. Everything and anything Trenton grabs. It is hard to have anything in your hands anymore. When he see something he wants, he lunges for it. The birthday sign is living proof.

Trenton's biggest accomplishment this month was sitting up. We surround him with toys and he plays and plays. There were a few crashes in the beginning but luckily no knots or bruises. He rarely wants to lay down. When we do get him down, he twists and turns. This becomes a problem at diaper changing time. We can't help but laugh each and every time we changes his diaper. We never know if we've straped the sides good enough and sometimes find out the hard way.

He is enjoying eating fruits and veggies even more. Peaches and sweet potatoes are recent favorites. Trenton loves to gnaw on the soft end of the spoon. Sometimes we end up giving him one to chew on in between bites. He is a messy eater too. We tend to go....food, bath, nurse, bed.

We have bought Trenton a couple new toys recently that are more engaging. He loves toys that light up, move, or make noise. The Melnick's gave him a little piggy that sings "This Little Piggy Went to the Market" while wiggling his feet and lighting up his toes. Suddenly he is fascinated with the piggy. He knows that the feet alternate wiggling and blinking so he turns to the next foot before it even lights up in anticipation of the movement and flashing. His other favorites are a toolbox and ABC catepillar (Granna and Opa's).

We had his big 6 month photo session this month. July and the south don't mix for pictures. We were pouring sweat and getting eaten alive by mosquitoes and it was only 9:30 in the morning. Trenton was hilarious, too. The photographer would want him to look a particular way and he'd always stare in the opposite direction. Then, he would get distracted by a branch or flower or leave and grab it. We had to be quick so that nothing made it into his mouth. We are anxiously awaiting the pictures and hope there are some great ones!

The birthday sign didn't last long next to Trenton.

Now we have to put it out of reach from Trenton.

Somehow Trenton manages to grab the paper again....this time it is a goner!
Surrounded by toys and loving the jack in the box.

Mommy thinks I'm cute even when I'm messy!

Meeting Audrey

Daddy's friend Damian had a girl just before we had Trenton, so it was fun to introduce the little ones this weekend at the houseboat. It seems as though the grown ups will soon become out numbered. :)

The two newest additions play on the mat together.

Go, Go Power Wheels!

Leave it to Granna! Mommy went to pick Trenton up from a day with Granna, and Trenton had a new, fun toy he just had to show me. Granna and Trenton were strolling up and down the driveway in Trenton's electric car. 6 months and already driving--grandkids are spoiled rotten! :) Trenton loved "steering" the car. The great part is, you just push a button on the handle and the car goes. Recharge it and you're good to go for three more hours. This is going to be a hit at Granna and Opa's house for sure!
Trenton can't wait to test out his new toy!
I think Trenton is ready for bumper cars!
We all know what Trenton is thinking....faster, Granna, faster!
