Trenton enjoyed his first experience of tailgate treats at our church this year. Last year, upon arrival at church, our precious little boy dislocated his elbow getting out of the car seat, and we ended up spending the afternoon in the ER with a case of Nurse Maid's Elbow. We were thankful nothing dramatic like that happened this year!
We arrived a little early, so Trenton was able to play on the playground. He loves our church's playground! Everywhere he went, his jack-o-lantern bucket was in hand.
Trenton dressed up as Woody from Toy Story. The concept of trick or treating was a bit too much for him. Instead of getting candy, he would give out candy from his bucket to each car he walked up to. It was cute! Many characters caught his eye, but Bert from Sesame Street was his favorite. Also, the fields at church had bounce houses and that perhaps was the best part of the afternoon for him. He did not want to leave as you can see from one of the pictures.

Climbing........
And sliding.......with my bucket in hand.
Back and forth, Trenton was delighted at the simple fun inside the bounce house.
He would nestle his nose up to the side in excitement as he ran to where we were watching him.
Look, it's Bert!
More bounce house fun after trick or treating.
This picture cracks me up. Screaming and flailing his arms and legs, Trenton kicked Opa in the groan and knocked Granna's glasses. The camera just happened to capture it all. Needless to say, Trenton was not ready to get out of the bounce house and leave.
Daddy took Trenton through the haunted church van before we headed home.
