We rarely have the opportunity to go to the beach in the fall. But, this year, we were able to take a little time out of our schedule for Perdido Key with Kevin's family. Although the water was cooler, the days were sunny and in the mid 70's. It was perfect weather. We parked it under the tent for the day and ran around the inside of the condo during breaks.
The balcony overlooked the beach and you could watch everything from 5 floors up.It was a pretty view in both directions.
It was funny watching the kids (and Kevin) run around chasing each other.
Schools of stingrays were rampant. The sight of them from above was cool, but it was amazing how you could even see them from the shoreline, too.
We attempted clothing play but resorted to the swimsuit before long.
I was usually under the tent with Bennett and watching on as the boys played. The nets were a big hit as the cousins attempted to fish.
We tried our darnest to keep T out of the water, but it was no use. He managed to wiggle his way in for a short period of time before wrapping up in a towel and drying off in the sun.
Bennett enjoys Riley's company under the tent.
PaPaw got all the kids boogie boards. Trenton runs to catch up with the gang.
This is him surfing.
Bennett liked all the activity at the beach but soon tired out. He pretty much napped his long morning and afternoon nap at the condo and then took his shorter noonish nap in our arms at the beach.
He had fun playing with GiGi! Look at that smile! (and drool!)This picture reminds me of when I was a kid. We always would chase the seagulls.
Trenton enjoys every part of the beach!
We brought swords down there to have sword fights.
The herring was right next to us and then he flew directly in front of me while I had the camera out. Somehow I managed to take a picture right as he passed.
There is no place better than the beach for kite flying!
4 out of 5 grandkids looking up is pretty good. :)
