NYE

Happy New Years Eve! There is no way I would rather spend New Years Eve than home with my family.  I knew there was no way the boys would stay up that late but we wanted to make the night memorable, so I came up with fun activities to do on the hour for the night.  It included balloon rockets, pops, sparklers and silly string.  We had a homemade dinner and toasted with prosseco.  It was lovely!
The boys' fun New Years Eve activity pack.
They were excited right away and wanted to do it all immediately!
Balloon rockets were first since we preferred light.  Bennett is such a cutie in his snow suit.  We have this outfit from Trenton when we went skiing just before his first birthday.  It fits Bennett perfectly!  He's always the warmest out of us.

We started with Daddy filling and releasing the balloons.
But soon, the boys got the hang of it and released them on their own.
Their smiles were awesome!  It was so much fun!
I love seeing them interact!  They do it much more these days.
 Begging Daddy for more!
Chasing the balloons all over the cult de sac.  We had to so it out there away from the trees because the soared so high.
This is the best toy!  Get these if you don't have them!  Any age with enjoy them!
Granna and Opa dropped off their new years eve box of hats and noise makers on their way to dinner.
Throwing pops on the driveway.
 Time for sparklers!
Trenton would make fun shapes with his sparkler and Mommy adjusted the camera's setting to try to catch some of it.
Silly string was a mess, but Trenton loved it.  Bennett, not so much.
We stayed in the playroom for this fiasco.
Mommy v. Trenton silly string war.  Trenton won!
Cheetos and shows while Daddy put together Mommy's head lamp for the screened in porch.

Gardens Lights: Holiday Nights

We finally made it to the Botanical Gardens!  We have been wanting to take the boys to their Garden Light: Holiday Lights display but between the rainy weather and our sick December, we weren't able to make it until after Christmas.  It didn't matter one bit.  The boys enjoyed walking the gardens on this cold night to view the various lights.  The model train really caught Bennett's attention.  He has been obsessed with choo-choos (his words.....coo-coo) lately.
Strolling into the Gardens at dusk.  Bennett wanted to explore by walking a little.  We thought this was a good idea before it got dark.
The Imaginary World's displays look magnificent lit up with lights.
One of their favorite parts was the model train area.
 Bennett didn't want to leave.
Three trains were going, all on different paths.  Here are two going simultaneously.
Bennett got excited every time one passed.    Then he'd wait for the next to come.  We had to let Trenton and Daddy go run around and little while we stayed to watch the trains a little more.
The still fountain showed a spectacular light reflection when you looked down at the water.
The edible garden section was full of bugs glowing in the sky.
As the night progressed, the displays became more vibrant and beautiful.
The music played with the lights on this field.  Walking back towards the front had a nice canopy of lights.
The Goddess (another part of the Imaginary World's attractions) looked cool from high above on the canopy walk.

Monday Humor

I'll tell you what.  This baby boy always makes me smile because he is constantly smiling himself, but there are times I can't help but laugh out loud at his spunk and personality.  He is so witty for an 18 month old!
It was time to run to Hobby Lobby to grab some craft stuff for a baby shower and Trenton's birthday party.  Since we were technically still getting over the flu, we were not staying out long.  I opted to leave B in his jammies for time sake.  I mean, he still is a little baby so I think it's acceptable.  The rest was all Bennett.  He found, Daddy's shoes and visor and 1 of my gloves in our closet this time, and there was no taking them off of him.
He thought he was so funny (and he was!)  Trenton got a kick out of it, too.
Yes, you're cute and you know it!
Where are the boys now?  It is time to go.
 There's Bennett!
And there's Trenton!  We had to empty the tupperware into a bag for this game.  They have lots of fun together, but believe me, they are certainly learning to deal with sharing and personal space.
