Labor Day and Our New Niece!

We enjoyed our Labor Day weekend even more this year.  We got to meet our newest niece for the first time!  Jessie Joy was not even 2 weeks old but was sure the focus of attention for our crew.  The boys LOVE little babies and I got that sweet, innocent baby fix.  We are sure going to spoil this little girl rotten!  Besides that, it was football, lots of rain, games of Tripoly, slumber party sleeping (3 oldest slept in a bed together for the first time) and getting in the last bit of tricks out on the water.
Trenton as anxious as could be about holding Jessie.
Sweet picture!
All the cousins.
Chase and Trenton kneeboarding
Bennett attempting for the first time.  Boy was he excited!
Here they go.....slow pull.
Trenton skiing and giving us a thumbs up to go faster.
Showing off a bit by flexing his muscle.  Haha!  Good bye summer!

Seadogs Baseball

We started baseball during this hectic week.  Kevin is coaching, which I think is a good thing, but after a week's worth of practice, I have found that Trenton likes his hat and the dirt the most.  Hopefully, baseball itself will soon follow.  LOL
Warming up.  Their hats are adorable with their names on it.  I can hardly wait for jersey time!
Practicing with daddy.  They have 2 practices a week, one on the fields and the other at the cages, and then 2 games a week, too.  That's a bit much in my mind, but I mean, we could be training a future Little League World Series player.  :)
Being silly with a buddy while waiting his turn to bat.  Bennett snacking and watching.
Their favorite part.....the mound of Georgia red clay for the fields.  It's the best thing to entertain them and the worst thing to wash.  I can't win.

Oh No!

Unfortunately, while I was gone disaster struck.  However, thankfully, no one was hurt and my sweet husband was there to take care of everything.  My supportive parents took the boys, and Kevin arranged crew after crew to come into the house.  This is what I came home to.....
A ceiling torn out and fans throughout the house drying things up.
All the living room furniture piled in a heap in the playroom.  The culprit was a pipe that burst leading to the Jacuzzi tub in the master bath.  The result was a ceiling fallen in the living room and water gushing three stories down.......
..........all the way to the basement.  The demolition team tore up the fallen sheet rock and soggy carpet.  Fans were set up on three floors for 5 days drying the house up.  The next step is for the remodel, which hopefully will start in the near future.
We at least got a smile out the innocent of the boys having their shirts blown up by the fan.  Then, the jeep died on us the night I returned.   I forgot to mention Trenton was up all night throwing up, but at least he was in the caring hands of my parents.  They say it goes in waves.
I returned to school to find a coke had exploded in my work fridge.  I think everything was humorous at this point, but like I said, we were extremely blessed no one had been hurt in any of the situations.
So, long story short.......we moved in with my parents for the week and we put the boys to work for rent.  Just kidding!  The boys LOVE to take out and carry in the garbage.  They were excited to help Opa on the task.  I don't know what we would have done without my parents help this week.  Dad was a champ shuttle  people around town and babysitting.  He said he's considering picking up his own bus route in his retired age. :)  Mom was there to assist in the daily evening routines.  They are such gracious people and we're luckily to live right around the corner from them!

Allison's Bachelorette

There's no better place for a girls' trip than Kiawah Island.  It was a fun weekend celebrating Allison's bachelorette and relaxing in the sun with my girlfriends!
 Weekend favors were beach towels
Allison, the bride-to-be, and the reason for the gathering.
 Beaching it one day

Poolside at the beach club another day.
Mary, me, Allison, JJ, Grayson, Cheryl, Melanie........united through good ol' Kappa Delta.  Haha!

Allison's night on the town.  What a fun place to go out with girls!
 Cheers to Allison!
JJ and I take a picture in honor of the "Marietta" wine.  Never had it before but had to since it was named after where we live.  :)

On My Way to Pre-K

This looks like one happy boy on the 1st day of PreK.  Looking forward to 5 day preschool at MFUMC this year with Ms. Fisher and Ms. Hills!
Trenton graduated from the red bag to the blue bag and boy was he one excited kid!
  Showing his muscles.
Granna and Opa took Trenton to school on his first day.  Bennett told him good bye (but secretly probably liked his day flying solo with Granna and Opa!)  Just kidding.  He loves playing with his brother more than anything in the world.  We're working hard to keep him busy and occupied while Trenton is at school.  So far, so good.

Biking....Or At Least Giving It a Good Shot!

We tried to go without training wheels today.  It didn't last very long but it was fun while it lasted.

Parks

Kevin was at baseball evaluations with another coach, so the other mom and I took our boys to the park.
 Swirling and climbing......
 Sliding.......
and feeding ducks.  Good times with good friends!
