Hollywood Studios

First theme park......Hollywood Studios!  We were excited about the shows and character experiences here.  The biggest was Jedi Academy.  Trenton and Bennett are big into Star Wars these days!  Our friends told us you have to arrive as it opens and run to the sight to register your child because they only accept a few each day.  (The child must be in person, too.)  Trenton was just now eligible as a 4 year old, so we took off running there while Granna and Opa headed over to the Toy Story Mania ride, which was the only thing I couldn't get a fast pass for, to stand in line.  You bet we had a game plan each day!

And by the way, Fast Passes still perplex me!  I am not good at them, and I don't fully understand them, and therefore, they were only somewhat helpful on this trip.  That is one area I wish someone sat down and thoroughly explained to me.   I know more now for our 2nd trip.....yep, we'll be going back!  :)

Opa, Granna and Trenton on the Hollywood Studio bus from Art of Animation.  We arrived at the busport at 8 each day because that was when the first shuttles left.  It was never a long line and never too crowded on these rides in the morning.
We are excited to be at Hollywood Studios for the day!
Waiting for the park to open.  We got to the gates around 8:30 each morning.  We had snacks to occupy the boys.
Trenton always had his marker ready for the characters.  Haha!  We couldn't miss the Buzz Lightyear attractions!
I remember this part as a kid......Honey I Shrunk the Kids!
They enjoyed climbing on the playground and running around together.
We saw the Disney Junior puppet show with Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Doc McStuffins, and Sophia the First....all recently famous character.
 Trenton dancing along.
I love Bennett's hands on his hips as he waits.  Boy were they excited to see Jake!!!
Daddy took Bennett to buy Mickey ears,
While I took Trenton to prepare for Jedi Academy.  His scheduled time was the 1:40 show.
He was thrilled.....if you could imagine!
Then, so serious as the Master Jedi explained the rules and battle to the Jedis in training.
Circling around their leader.  Trenton was probably the youngest in the dozen, but of course he was fearless and ready to fight!
Following his leaders commands.  Look at that face of determination!  Darth Vader has nothing on him!
Then, the doors open and out come the storm troopers and Darth Vader.  The Jedis take safety behind their leaders.
So real it was amazing!  This certainly was any kid's dream to be a part of!
It's Jedi Trenton's turn!  He fights Darth Vader!
The Jedi crew defeats Darth Vader and sends him back where he came from!
Each child was awarded a certificate for completing Jedi Academy.  It was so fun to watch!
Trenton got Mickey ears, too.  His are R2D2 from Star Wars.
Strolling over to the Frozen section.  Of course, there's Frozen everywhere!  We played in the snowground.  Daddy helped the boys make a snowman Mickey.
They soon became cold so it's a good thing it was short.
We watched Muppets 3D, which was rather entertaining to the boys, except, we looked over at the end to find Bennett sound asleep in his theater chair with his 3D glasses on.  I wish I snapped a picture but I didn't want to wake the poor boy.
Daddy and Trenton danced around while Bennett slept and we took him asleep in our arms to the Little Mermaid show and Indiana Jones stunt spectacular.  The spraying water (Little Mermaid) nor explosions (Indiana Jones) woke the precious boy!  Between our arms and the stroller he got in an amazing 4 hour nap!  That-a-way, B!
By afternoon the place was really crowded.
We ate at Prime Time.  We followed recommendations and made 1 reservation per day at a sit down restaurant.  The other meals was flexible at our conveniences.  There was nothing special about this place.  Actually, next time, I'd rather try Pizza Planet for lunch.
Trenton on Opa's lap during Indiana Jones.  Trenton was intrigued by the stunts, fire, and explosions.  We were trying to explain each parts as it went along because he was so curious.
When both boys were napping, Granna and Opa played with their hats.
Finishing the night we hot dogs and popcorn during the Fantastamic Show.
It was a water/land spectacular featuring no other than........
Mickey Mouse!!!
All the characters riding the ferry in the show.
What a fun day!  We headed out and got home around 9:30.  Not too bad, but of course, the walk back to our hotel room had fun things along the way.  This gives a whole new meaning to under the hood.
