Karate Kids

From going to one of our friend's birthday party, Trenton and Bennett received 2 free martial arts classes and a karate outfit.  You better believe they were excited to do karate!  All Bennett said the whole drive there was, "I can't wait!"  and I made a point not to tell them we were doing it until the day of because anticipation would kill them.  The best part was that both boys were in the same class.  The class is actually for 3-5 year olds, but since Bennett is independent and completely potty trained, they let him in.  They were amazed how he could hang with the big kids.  Bennett came home saying, "Upper cut!" and swinging his fist upward.  He might have gotten more out of it than Trenton.  Bennett is exceptionally smart and observant.

Unfortunately, we have too much going on with basketball, baseball, swimming and choir overlapping right now to continue classes.  Maybe this summer we'll be able to squeeze something in.  In the meantime, we'll just look forward to our 2nd class (which was rescheduled for next week because we've been super sick around our house!) but we need to get it in before Trenton's surgery on the 25th.
