Sir Trenton's Knight in Shining Armor Party

Trenton had a Knight in Shining Armor 3rd birthday party.  We decorated the clubhouse with swords, shields, axes, and helmets. We built a castle with chains.  The place was decked out.  Kids could play, eat and have a good time.
Can't believe our little boy is 3!
Sir Trenton's castle, constructed and painted with love!
All knights need swords, shields, cannon balls and horses.
Barb the Cake Lady made a fabulous cake!  Not only was it adorable, but it tasted amazing!
Bennett, our little dragon, even enjoyed the party!
For food, we had a breakfast theme.  (M-oatmeal, fruit on the sword, dragon in the blankets, dragon eggs and muffin towers)

Peek-a-boo!
There were cannon balls flying everywhere!
Watch out below!  The blow up swords and shields were a big hit as well.
The kids rode around on stick ponies and ran in and out of the castle.
 It was every boys dream!
Cake time is always exciting because Trenton is obsessed with singing "Happy Birthday" and blowing out candles.  (We have pretend parties all the time!)
Helpful friends and family passed our little dragon around.
Trenton's cousins helped him open his presents.
and he got a bike from GiGi and PaPaw!

Trenton's 3rd Birthday

Trenton had a super 3rd birthday!
He loves to blow candles out so we had a muffin morning celebration followed by a couple presents.
Then we went to Legoland to explore and play.  Trenton ran around from toy to toy.  Bennett watched.  We tried to keep up with them.
T liked building the lego cars to race.
 Ready, set, go!
He also enjoyed building them on the shake table.
as well as rolling around in the box of them.
But by the end of the day, he was tired.
We quickly grabbed lunch at Johnny Rockets.
We had a little boy ready for his head to hit the pillow.
He rested up for an evening of celebrating.  Opa came over when he got off work.
Trenton got to open more presents.  He loved his V-Tech robot, plasma car, and balloon.
Bennett, once again, thoroughly enjoyed all the activity.  His buddy Opa showed him everything!
Granna tested out the plasma car with Trenton.
We ended the evening with pizza and a cookie cake.  What a fun day!

Double Baths

We put Bennett's bath seat to use this week.  I'm not sure what Bennett likes best....the water or his silly brother entertaining him?  Regardless, he loves his baths!
I love watching these two boys together!
 We know the silly one!
So much to play and do!
First one out gets the recliner.  :)

Cheap Fun

Who would have thought boogie wipes could be so much fun?
I love how babies have such good posture!  What happens?

Bennett 7 Months

Bennett is such a happy 7 month old baby!  He weighs 17 lbs 13 oz, only 2 ounces more than Trenton did at this stage.  Here are some facts from this past month.
1.  He has 3 teeth.  The bottom two and a top incisor (so it's a fang right now!)
2.  He sits up on his own.
3.  Everything goes into his mouth.  Time to keep those little objects out of reach!
4.  He had his 3rd ear infection this month.  (Nothing major, I'm just documenting it for when I forget when he had them.)
5.  He recognizes faces from across the room, and lights up in joy as you approach him.
Chewing to get those teeth through the gums!
You don't have to keep reminding us Bennett of how handsome you are.
 Love those huge belly-laughing smiles!
Always kicking and squirming.  He'll probably be as active at T.
And he constantly rolls to his belly.
But then he gets stuck like this.
You can see his fang on the top.
Bennett really is such a sweet, easy going little guy!

Happy 2013!

It was a rainy New Years Day.  We hosted our family dinner at our house this year.  Kevin was pumped about doing yet another meal on the green egg.  This time is was a brisket.  He bared the rain and got up at 3 am to put the meat on.  At least there was the Georgia game, good food, and entertainment inside our house despite the nasty weather.  It was a nice, relaxing day with family!
We celebrated Christmas with Uncle Brad and Aunt Jacquelyn, too.  Trenton adored his superman cape and mask.
Flying!!!
They each also got a personalized book.
Uncle Brad read the story to Trenton right away.  T loved it!
Bennett was all grins and giggles bouncing in Aunt Jacquelyn's lap.
Testing our luck, I bought scratch offs for everyone.  We had two ticket winners in the family.
Kevin's ghetto-rigged contraption to keep him dry while tending to the grill.
