Hippity, Hoppity Easter's on its Way!

Holy Week was happening with the Wagers'.  Trenton really enjoyed learning more about Jesus' death and resurrection this year.  He is so curious and absorbs information like a sponge!  We discussed Palm Sunday, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday and Good Friday more in depth this year and he also was able to take part in several events.  He looked (glanced might be a better term) at the Stations of the Cross at our church,  The captions with the pictures weren't child-friendly enough to hold his complete attention, but we went.  He also claims his favorite book right now is God Gave Us Easter, which goes through the reasoning of Easter appropriate for a preschooler's mind.  Ms. Buckler did projects with the kids and Trenton's class sang a beautiful song, "He Is Risen!" which I heard on the day of the Easter party.  We got some bonus Easter celebrations in as well with the Tiny Tots Easter party at Sparkles Skating Center.

Bennett skating for the first time.  He liked to just collect the abandoned skating walkers on the rink.  Haha!
Pictures with the Easter bunny and our friends the Nurnbergs (Nicholas and Noah)
The egg hunt on the floor for the 0-3 year olds and the 4-5 year olds was in the arcade area.
Both boys came out with a bucket of eggs and smiling faces.
Each has the special glittery eggs, too, but Bennett came out the big winner with a free Tiny Tot birthday party!
Nicholas and Trenton enjoyed playing a bit in the arcade.  Anyone up for air hockey?

Baseball Happenings

Baseball consists of playtime, dugout duty, cheering on, practice, coaching and after game snacks.
Only 5 year olds still want to show up for baseball games like this.  Bennett helping in the dugout.
Daddy and Trenton warming up for the game.
Mommy making cake pop treats for snacks.

4K Class Easter Party

If I can volunteer, I love to!  It was special joining Trenton's class for an hour to partake in their Easter party.  He was beyond thrilled that I was the helper, which made me so happy.
Trenton eating his Easter snacks after I read God Gave Us Easter to the class.
 Going on an egg hunt......
In search on their one, large, special egg.  At first it was a hard concept to grasph--only 1 egg--but then the goodies inside took over and the kids were fine.  :)

Then acting silly with their homemade whiskers.
Whascally rabbit!

Essential Question: Where do you go on Easter Sunday morning?
Trenton and his response artwork.....church!  I love his dot art!  They are so cool and successful through that unique program.  We have his art posted around the house and in frames for the various holidays.

T's Special Day

Trenton had his post op hernia surgery appointment today.  All was well, so he and I grabbed breakfast at IHop and then drove over to explore Tiny Towne.  It's a new children's place in Norcross where kids get to drive down pretend roads.  But, it drains your pocket more than any other children's place I've been to before!  Although T had a great time there and asks to go back, we will not be going.  We checked it out this time because half of our fun was via a Groupon.
Trenton and Mommy's special day......just the 2 of us!
 The tiny town.
Beware!  Trenton is behind the wheel!
They also had a train ride and arcade section.

Time With GiGi

We were lucky!  GiGi and PaPaw came into town.  PaPaw had a couple business golf outings.  Kevin was able to join him at East Lake and Country Club of the South.  Both were amazing golfing experiences, especially East Lake where it's a walking course only and players have their own caddies.  Not sure what Kevin thought with this unbelievable treatment!  :)  The boys got to stay home with GiGi and play.  During that time, Trenton had kindergarten registration.  Can you believe it's already that time?!  Since he had to miss preschool for the registration, GiGi and I took the boys on their own little golf outing, putt-putt.
Bennett, Trenton and GiGi are all smiles playing together in our front yard.
Playing with eggs and going to Fickle Pickle for dinner.  Uh-oh....Uncle Ryan...cookies!  It's a running joke that Uncle Ryan will eat all their cookies.  They love playing it with him!
Going to be a Davis Tiger next year!
Super Bennett!
He's such a smiley little boy!
His brother is there to help or steal your toys.  :)
But they certainly have fun together!
Playing our round of 18 holes.
Bennett took it mighty seriously.  He was determined to get the ball in the hole every single time no matter how long it took.  Good thing we were pretty much the only ones out there on the course!
We love our GiGi time!
GiGi got 2 hole in ones!
