Chattahoochee Nature Center

Opa suggested taking Trenton to the Chattahoochee Nature Center close to home.  We are sure glad we went!  Trenton truly enjoyed the walk through the gardens.  He would race to spot the butterfly figures scattered throughout.  It was perfect timing since we had just seen a caterpillar earlier this week.  He knew a caterpillar turns into a butterfly.  There were also animal exhibits throughout including several birds (bald eagle, hawks, owls, etc) and even a beaver.  As we followed the trails down toward the river, there were wooden houses to play inside.  We thought we would never get Trenton out of these!  Down by the river, Trenton asked about PaPaw's boat.  Luckily, we saw some rowers.  It is a good thing because he was dying for a boat to pass!  Water equals boats in his mind.  Inside there the fun continued with a hand-ons children's section.  It was a fun day with Opa!
