.....I'm a big kid now! And, Trenton can say that with pride! Not many toddlers begin potty training at 26 months, but Trenton took potty training under his wing and has become awesome with it. We wanted to try to accomplish this task as parents before the new baby arrived so gave it a shot at a rather early age, especially for boys. Yes, it is more work on parents because you are constantly seeking out the nearest restroom when out in public (or hidden bush--thank goodness for boys!) and regularly asking/taking him to try, but it is worth it. Anyways, we are very proud of Trenton! We never had to even buy pull-ups, which I heard sometimes confuses kids even more, and we haven't put diapers on once (with the exception of sleeping, of course). Mommy proudly sports a potty in the back of the jeep, extra underwear in her glove box, a wipes nearby. We set a potty outside when playing to avoid accidents since he doesn't ever like to stop playing to go. He occasionally will still ask for M&Ms since we used that as initial motivation, but has thankfully began to forget about the chocolate. Don't know if that was the best idea or not, but the sticker chart didn't make it very far. We had to resort to something. :)
Trenton briefly breaks for a pit stop before continuing playing in the backyard.
