Grand Beginnings

The biggest hits for the boys in our new house are the jaccuzi tub and huge playroom.  Pics to come real soon, I promise!

Preschool

It was a big day of firsts!  It was the first night all of us slept in our new house, and it was Trenton's first day of preschool!  He was so excited to see Mrs. Christine again and meet his classmates.  I was lucky enough to drop him off for his 1st day.  He climbed between the seats before the woman opened his door and gave me a big squeeze and said, "I love you, Mommy!"  It, of course, made my heart melt!  Then, with an enormous grin, he hopped out of the jeep and walked into school.  I'm so thankful for this opportunity for him to attend preschool three days a week for a few hours.  It's just what he needed, and he loves it!  I can't believe how fast he is growing up!

New House!

We had been so anxious for this weekend!  Earlier in the week we closed on our new house.  We just received possession at 11 pm last night, so when Bennett woke before the crack of dawn Kevin and I high tailed it to our new house.  We couldn't wait to check it out again!  (Pictures soon to follow....once we unpack and situate!)
Arriving at our new residence before day break.
Bennett was happy to find a toy the previous owners had left for him......a lawn mower!
He tested out the stairs, then we left to get the uhaul.  The sun hadn't even risen yet and the moon was still out.

Roomies

In between our two homes, we were thankful Granna and Opa let us stay with them.  Although it was only for a couple weeks, we sure appreciated them opening up their home and helping us with the boys.
Opa reads a bedtime story to Bennett.
Trenton sets up his DVD player for a movie with Granna.
 Trenton is such a character!
Little baby in a big chair.
Go Dawgs!  Can you tell we are ready for football season?
We played outside each afternoon.  The boys love their driveway!

Chores!

From newspapers to recycling bins, the boys loved helping Granna and Opa in any way.

Doing Laundry

Laundry is a bit more difficult these days.  However, it is certainly more fun!

Hats

Two things Bennett loves are balls and hats.  I still believe balls rank as #1, but in close 2nd are hats.  B was all about trying on the various hats this day.
 Worker man hats.....
 Bulldog hats......
Then, he insisted Momma wear the worker man goggles and not take them off.  :)

Pool (Without Swimming!)

We thought we'd spend the afternoon swimming at the pool.  We were half correct.  We were at the pool, but no swimming took place.  The entire hour and a half it thundered.  With the sun out, we kept thinking it would subside.  However, it never did.  We were still able to enjoy the afternoon.  The boys splashed in buckets, "painted" the sidewalk, squirted feet, bounced balls, and ate ice cream.  Sounds like a normal day.
This bucket was in the lost and found.  It was perfect because it had a little spout/hose connect for them to play with.  I'll have to look for this bucket at the store.
 Let the artwork begin!

Toes beware!  Trenton is armed and dangerous!
Opa and Granna were there with us making the afternoon even more fun.
Oh boy!  Then the ice cream truck came.  Momma ran to the house and grabbed changed.  Trenton made his first ice cream truck purchase.
You better believe he went for the spiderman ice cream!  He thought the gum eyeballs were cool.  What a sticky mess!  Good thing we were at the pool!

We may have never made it in the big pool, but we filled up the baby pool for Trenton to splash and play in back at the house while we put Bennett to sleep.

Farewell Party

Moving out definitely snuck up on us.  We didn't really have a chance to say bye to some of our friends in the neighborhood so we met them one evening for pizza.  Trenton and Madeleine enjoyed running around the empty house.  Then, we blew bubbles in the driveway with Maddox and Kendall before parting ways.  We know we'll stay in touch but it was nice having such good families right around the corner.
Trenton was impressed with the open space.
Bennett followed every footstep as Trenton explored the empty house.
The boys found fun climbing in the cleaned out cabinets.
Trenton and Madeleine hid in the closets.  We still had this CD player out.  They drug it in the closet to play with.
Good bye Gardenside friends.  Can't wait to invite you over to our new house!
