We all know Trenton loves sticks. I think he was afraid someone was going to take this one that he found under the trees, so he decided to bring it with him onto the playground. He always keeps me laughing!

He Woke Up!
From the first moment Trenton wakes up in the morning, he asks about baby. He is curious if he is up or downstairs yet. Most of the time, Bennett is still asleep, so Trenton recites, "Oh, he's in his crib." We proceed with our day. However, whenever Bennett does wake up.....morning or naps.....Trenton wants to be the first to see him. He urges you to wait and explains that he will get baby. I think Bennett likes it. His eyes catch Trenton as he enters the room and he instantly coos, smashes his head face first into the mattress in delight, and pulls back up with his enormous smile. Trenton reaches his tiny arms through the rails and pats his brother saying, "Hi baby, hi baby!" as I open the blinds. For this reason, we have left the bumpers off the crib. It was a hard decision: 1. They are cute paisley 2. Trenton absolutely adored the bumpers! He nestled himselves against them in comfort often. Nonetheless, I like Trenton's eagerness to help and his sheer joy at getting Bennett up that I think this is how we will leave it.
Bennett peers through the rails at his big brother who runs into the room to get him up. Tummy sleepers have strong necks. Bennett likes this position when he wakes up in the crib. I love seeing his little eyes staring at the video camera. I think he is in awe of the small green light and it draws his attention.
Trenton moves his light weight stoll from the crib to the changing station to help. Actually, he carries that thing all over the upstairs. It's most popular place is certainly Bennett's room, though.

Picture Man!
A fond possession of Trenton's is his camera. Actually, random he tends to pretend random objects are cameras, too, and he is frequently caught taking pictures on his hello (cell phone) to send to Daddy. And they say they copy you at this age!
Trenton takes Bennett's picture this morning.
The most common object of his photography is yours truly, Bennett!
I have to sneak in a picture of Trenton because he just wants it of the baby.

Leaning Tower of Bennett
I realized how good Bennett had become at sitting on the sofa, or so I thought. We used to always prop him only in the corner where he had some assistance to sit up. Lately, he was sitting like a big boy only with the pillow directly behind him. Well, for short periods of time that is. :)
Starting to lean, starting to lean..........(Repositioned.) Yikes, here I go the other way....this balance thing is kind of difficult!

Rain, Rain You May Stay
We actually had a blast this rainy day. That is, after we returned from lunch with Daddy and took our naps. Lunch was a bit of a disaster. Trenton and an office don't mix. He was loud and running around saying, "Get me Daddy, get me!" like they were playing in the park. Kevin said there was probably going to be an email saying you can't bring your kids to work after our experience. LOL! When we finally got out of there, you think it would be fine. But, Kevin had a two year old crawling all over him during our lunch. I think he usually likes his breaks and peaceful lunches. Needless to say, I don't think we will be invited back until the kids are older.
The rest of the day was great! We set up Bennett's bouncy seat on the porch, played and then watched Trenton prance around in the rain. We love our front porch, that's for sure!
Trenton likes to help Bennett play in the seat. He bounces him and always makes sure the vibration is turned on.Bennett loves chillin' outside in this thing. Seriously, all the activity around him keeps him engaged. His eyes dart from one thing to another (or he follows Trenton or me) whenever he isn't playing with his toys.
We were so proud of Bennett. Today he pulled the frog all by himself causing it to sing a lullaby.
Trenton loved wearing his rain boots and opening up his frog umbrella to play in the rain.

Tent Stories
Since we will not be going camping any time soon, Trenton and Daddy made their own version of camping out back. They gathered in the play tent to tell stories before going inside for bath and bed. It was so sweet!
Kevin and Trenton are in the tent. You can vaguely see the light shining by the red door.I opended the door to find Trenton telling stories with his flashlight. Why are they so dang cute together?!

Friday Night Lights
We took Trenton to his first high school football game this weekend. Not sure of the crowds because it was the first home game, we arrived in shifts. Opa and Kevin got up there an hour before to get good seats. We were afraid of being too high up on the concrete bleachers with Trenton, our little monkey. Just before kickoff, Trenton and I arrived. Granna and Bennett dropped us off thankfully so it was an easy experience. The timing couldn't have been better. I think he was impressed with all the activity, so he was eager to sit down once we got to our seats on the 2nd row--way to go guys! From the get go, he was chanting along with the crowds. His favorite was "Defense!" which was yelled whether or not the other team had the ball. (Give him a break; he's 2!) He got so excited everytime we scored, too, and clapped intensively right along with everyone around him. Lassiter's games are so much more than they used to be when I was there twelve years ago! Partner tents and businesses set up around the perimeter, turf to play on, a jumbo-tron under the scoreboard, a million cheerleaders and a gazillion football players. I think they dress out any boy who can say the word football! The biggest sponsor, Chick-fil-a, goes all out for the games....blow up enormous cows in the endzone, mascots dancing everywhere, toys blasted into the stadium. Needless to say, that also kept his interested. Trenton was thrilled when he got a cow from them. Although he was climbing all over the three of us, he lasted in the bleachers for the entire 1st quarter. And since the score was 28-0 at this point (woot-woot!), we became a little more lax for the rest of the game. One would take him to the concession stand, walk with him along the fence in front of the student section, showed him off to the cheerleaders, but his new found love was running under the portable bleachers that were brought in for additional seating. It was like a maze for him. The other parent was able to enjoy the game with Opa. By 4th quarter, the score was 50 something to 7. We decided we're going to win. :) So, we walked back to Granna and Opa's house, a mile down the road, with Trenton lighting the sidewalk with his flashlight as we pushed him in the stroller.
LHS's team is really talented. Numerous players have offers at D-1 schools. It will be neat to see if anyone makes it big and Trenton can say he saw them play in high school.
