Decorating for Halloween

GiGi gave the boys these reusable Halloween window stickers.  B had fun playing with them and making his creation on our french doors to the screened in porch.
He would sticks, sign more while saying "mo-mo" then come back for more stickers.  Then, he'd point at his picture and mumble something else I couldn't understand.
Finally, he shouts "Ta-da" when he's finished.
And this is what it looks like.  Pretty good.  Only a few sideways ghosts or upside down bats.

It's Great to Be a Georgia Bulldog!

It's great to be a Georgia Bulldog, even when you lose.  We took a family trip to Nashville, TN to go to the UGA/Vandy game.  It was going to be Trenton's 1st SEC game, and these are always fun games to attend since Kevin's brother and wife went to VU.  Unfortunately, the weather was crummy, as well as the outcome.  It rained on and off throughout the game and it was cold, and it has certainly been a year of injuries for the Dawgs.  Consequently there have been some disappointing outcomes; losing to Vandy is one of them.  Nevertheless, we had fun attending the event and tailgating with friends and family.
Bennett was such a cute, little bulldog, but he stayed at the house with GiGi.  A one year old is not going to sit well through a football game when stairs are in sight.  Thanks, GiGi!
Trenton was a huge rocket fan at the tailgate.  I hope Santa is listening.  :)
Tailgating has changed with these additions....Chase, Brooks, Trenton and Riley.
 Trenton and Mommy
Daddy was so sweet.  He helped keep Trenton entertained so that Mommy could enjoy the game.
We had great seats!  Front row baby!
That meant Trenton could stand right in front of us and move.  Lucky duck!
The view from our seats.
Soon, T crashed.  But, he made it to the 4th quarter, which was 3 quarters longer than the G-Day game in April where he slept through the entire thing.
Bennett took a wonderful nap with GiGi so he was full of steam once we got back.  Trenton on the other hand, slept over 5 hours for his nap.  We began to think he was down for the night.  That's what happens when you get into town late the night before and go to bed at midnight then attend a football game the following morning.
This happy boy loved playing outside.
He just wondered how he was going to shoot hoops like his older 2nd cousin Nathan and his girlfriend Shelby.

What's Important to a 1 Year Old?

Do you ever wonder what is important in a 1 year old's little mind?
Shoes (or "sh" as he calls them).......
And the doorstop thingamajig that vibrates.  Getting dressed after baths was not a top priority!

Momma's B-day

Thanks for celebrating my birthday with me!
When you get a vacuum and garage refrigerator for your birthday, a simple gift like Candyland keeps you young at heart!  Trenton and I played it with Granna and Opa on the screened in porch while Daddy put Bennett to bed.  Thanks, babe!  (I have to admit.....I've never looked forward to cleaning this much in my whole life!)
Everyone, including Bennett, sang "Happy Birthday" to me.  Bennett knows the whole first verse and absolutely loves it!

Go Bengals!

Flag football started.  It is hilarious.  The kids don't quite grasps the concept of "flag" football.  I think Trenton's first play was a tackle.  Nevertheless, they are a hoot to watch!  The boys enjoy themselves thoroughly.  At the age of 3, the game consists of simply passing the ball off so that every player on the team has a chance to run towards the endzone.  The challenge at this age is running in the right direction, staying in bounds and not taking your own players flags.  We are learning and having a blast in the process!
Trenton and two of his close friends, Hudson and Sawyer.

Trenton is ready for his hand off.
 Off he goes!
He was grinning from ear to ear for the entire game.  This pic cracks me up!  One boy is giving the other team a stern look, another is crying, and then there's Trenton sporting the dimples.
 He loved the huddles!
And "Go Bengals!" chants topped that!
No one knew how to do this at the end of the game.  The Bengals never walked to meet their opponents.  Finally, as the Bengals stood as still as statues, the blue team walked passed them.  At least they knew to stick their hands out.
We are so glad the Powell boys are on the team with us!  Their daddy, Coach Justin, is the coach.
Opa and Granna came to watch and help with Bennett, who loved "picnicking" but having the playground in sight is going to be a challenge.
We just had to do the "Go Bengals" chant one more time before leaving.  Like I said, it's Trenton's favorite part of football....haha!

Sequence of Event

It is best not to let children feed certain foods to themselves.
 What a mess!
So we take it away to feed him ourselves.
And we have one upset baby.
 Poor boy!
"Get me outta here!" (and straight to the bath!)  It's the little things that babies find the biggest joy in!

The Rock Ranch

If you haven't been there, go!  It is the coolest place for kids and the perfect way to spend a Saturday in the fall.  It is well worth the hour and half drive each way for the smile on the boy's faces and to spend time with our family and friends.  We are so glad the Scarbrough/Schappeler clan joined us this year!
 The acreage is beautiful!
The boys check out the old timey car.
The train track circles the in field area.  It was cowboy day this Saturday so we witness several wild west encounters/shows.
 The cow tractor was fun!
Erich and Trenton enjoying the pull.
Bennett went on his 1st pony ride.  He liked it so much that we went on another one right after.
Trenton enjoyed the pony ride as well.
 Opa galloped to keep up!
This is what we get for not taking the boys to the beach this year!  Almost an hour of sand time!
Erich and I peddled to push the boys around the peddle cart race track.
We rode the train around the ranch.
The little tikes town is always a big hit with our imaginitive boys.
Trenton plays Dr. Sam giving the sermon in the little town church.
And then he gives the prayer.  :)
Bennett is such an attentive student in the schoolhouse!
Did anyone call 911?  He comes Trenton the firefighter ready to help.  He was definitely into this activity.  Recently, Firefighter Jackie had come to his preschool and then the firetruck showed up on Granna and Opa's hill helping a teenager who had broken his coller bone skateboarding the next day.
Trenton successfully manurved the power wheel John Deer tractors around the Cowadega Speedway.
Moo!  Bennett had fun climbing on the cow.
Trenton and Daddy shot corn husks at targets.
Bennett relaxed on Opa's lap listening to the western singers and then looked for fish in the pond.
Trenton sure was happy about the fresh strawberry ice cream from the creamery.
The creamery had a cute produce section and outdoor sitting area.
Trenton works his way through his enormous cone.
Trenton was sweet to share a lick of his ice cream cone with Bennett.
Relaxing and crashing from a long, fun day at the ranch!
